How the card draw works
Cards are selected with crypto.getRandomValues() before the shuffle. The visible deck is capped at 12 cards, and the selected cards are always included in that visual subset.
Shuffle and reveal
The shuffle uses light CSS transforms, then the winning cards flip to show their labels. Reduced-motion users see the result without the shuffle.
Frequently asked questions
Can cards be drawn twice?
By default no. Cards are sampled without replacement, and removal keeps them out of later draws.
Can I use custom labels?
Yes. Any non-empty line becomes a card label. Duplicate labels are separate cards.
Is the deck uploaded?
No. Card labels and results remain in the browser.
