How the name shuffle works
The winner index is selected securely before the visual shuffle. Names change quickly at first, slow down, and then settle on that pre-selected winner. Frame rate changes cannot alter the result.
Multiple winners
Winners are selected one at a time. When removal is enabled, already-selected entries are excluded from later picks in the same draw.
Frequently asked questions
Can duplicate names appear?
Yes. Every non-empty line is a separate entry, so a duplicated name has more entries and a proportionally higher chance.
Does it store participant names?
No. Names stay in browser memory and are not persisted or uploaded.
What happens with reduced motion?
The animation is shortened and the final winner is shown immediately.
