How the wheel picks a winner
The winner is selected with crypto.getRandomValues() before the animation begins. Each non-empty line is one entry, so duplicate names appear on multiple segments and keep their own chance. The spin only visualizes the already-selected result.
Multiple winners and removal
With removal enabled, winners are sampled without replacement and removed from the active list after the sequence. With removal disabled, the same entry can win more than once.
Frequently asked questions
Can the wheel land on the wrong segment?
The final rotation is calculated from the winner index and the segment angle, so the selected segment is centered under the pointer.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. The canvas resizes with its container, controls stack vertically, and reduced-motion users get a shortened spin.
Are entries uploaded?
No. Selection and animation run entirely in your browser.
