Both texts are compared in your browser and are never transmitted.

Unified versus side-by-side
A unified diff presents both texts in one stream: + marks an added line, - marks a removed line, and a leading space marks an unchanged line. Side-by-side diff places original and modified lines next to each other.
Normalization
Case-insensitive comparison and whitespace trimming affect matching only. Original line content is still displayed, so you can see the actual text that differs. Changed lines are represented as a removal plus an addition; the tool does not claim semantic line modification.
Frequently asked questions
What is the input limit?
The combined input is limited to approximately 1 MB to keep the browser responsive.
Does whitespace-only content count?
Blank lines are real lines and are compared. Enable trimming only if leading and trailing spaces should be ignored.
Are both texts uploaded?
No. Comparison runs entirely in the browser.
